Our junk boat is slightly smaller than this…

Happy long weekend everyone!

I hope you’re all having a great start to it!

Let’s get to it!  This Friday!  8pm-11pm! Our first Junk Boat Party Fundraiser Extravaganza!

As of right now, I have 26 people signed up and ready to go.  Which is great, but I really want to get to 44 so that we can raise, $10,000 for charity.

Tickets are $400, which includes the junk, all your drinks and some snacks. Everyone is welcome!

The junk leaves from Central Pier 9 at 8:00pm.  We’ll enjoy the light show as we sail down the harbor to the east, before returning to Central at 11:00pm.

I have researched the 26 people already signed up, and they are the coolest and nicest people you’ll ever meet!  So, don’t be afraid to come out and meet some new friends and have some fun.  Plus it’s all for a good cause!

“Where is the money going?” you ask.  Well, let’s start the voting!

We have 4 options.

1. People living in the caged homes here in Hong Kong.

These people are obviously quite well off and could use our help.  The plan would be to hand out 50 x $200 gift certificates to a nearby supermarket.

2. Pathfinders Hong Kong

“Driven by this shared vision where every migrant child born in Hong Kong has a fair start in life, we empower their mothers to make informed life decisions and find a dignified path toward a safe and legal future.”

This charity does so many great things to help out these women.  I suggest you take a look at their site to see more.

3. Naked Islands

“The Naked Island Project is a community that wants to embrace a cleaner future, reducing pollution and promoting a balanced lifestyle in HK.”

You can check out their Facebook page for more info.

4. Clean Air Network

“We are a NETWORK bringing together and amplifying the voices of individuals, groups and organizations and together we urge the Government to act immediately to clean our air.”

The name says it all.  This group is working to help clean Hong Kong’s air and raise awareness.  Check out their site for more info.
