The Guest Room started off GUNS BLAZING with roughly 300 posts from our 6 contributors in our first year. However, that pace couldn’t be kept and now it’s just little ol’ me.
Mr.J
The good news is that this blog has been somewhat transformed into a humanitarian movement. The blog impactHK has created events where we perform good acts for individuals in need. This organic movement continues to gain momentum and where she goes, nobody knows!
In the first year of impactHK, we have raised tens of thousands of dollars for the homeless, people living in caged homes, the Down Syndrome and Autistic community and even paid for an individual’s cleft lip operation.
Since then I’ve registered both ImpactHK and Love 21 Foundation as charities in Hong Kong because I believe both are so needed and can make a big difference.
Currently ImpactHK is doing over 20 Kindness Walks for the homeless each month and shows no sign of slowing down.
At the same time, Love 21 Foundation has been flying as well, expanding from two sport classes to eight, and are currently supporting nearly 40 families.
Thanks for visiting the Guestroom! You can expect more regular posts here about new developments on these charities and all sorts of thoughts that enter my brain 24 hours a day!
Cheers!
