impactHK:The Beat Goes On!
Event 10 was a great one! Probably my favourite handout so far!
We had some new faces out this evening, which is always great because we aren’t just making an impact on those we are donating to. These events are just as meaningful, if not more so, for the people who are giving.
I’m really really enjoying the group that we’re creating! We’ve started a platform for people who care and put value in helping those less fortunate.
I’m already excited for the next one! I hope we’ll continue seeing some new volunteers, and especially hope to see repeats. Although I know I will because it’s just that good! 😉

A real eye-opener. I started by writing that I enjoyed this meet, but I don’t know if ‘enjoy’ is the right word. It certainly isn’t enjoyable seeing so many people in need of the basics like food and water but I can say that I enjoyed the feeling of helping others.
The Cantonese speaker who joined us (Viola) told me that one of the gentlemen we handed food to said that the IpactHK group visit was the highlight of his month. He said you were like his best friends and he gets excited in anticipation of your visit each month.
It was a privilege to meet you all and I look forward to the next meet. I’ll try to drum up some more support from Cantonese speakers, as Viola said she thought some of the people needed conversation as much as they needed food.
