myHK: Nice One, Hong Kong!
Hello Hong Kong!
I’m proud to announce that we were able to raise $7,000 for a family in Hong Kong that has fallen on some VERY tough times!
I wrote a social worker I know and asked if there was a family in Hong Kong that could really use a bit of kindness.
She told me of a family where the father is very close to dying of stomach cancer. The mother has serious heart disease. This family has two daughters, a 15 year old and 20 year old. The 20 year old, Sarah, still has cleft lip.
It’s very sad to say the least that she has had to live 20 years with cleft lip, considering the surgery isn’t that difficult. Financially it just wasn’t possible for them.

I had the opportunity to speak to Sarah about the upcoming operation. She’s an intelligent and kind girl with a bright future ahead of her. I’ve exchanged emails with her and will be keeping in touch.
I’m very proud that we were able to do this! And I’m so thankful that we’ve created a platform that has participants willing and wanting to make positive impact on society.
Have a great CNY break and hope to see you at Event 10 on March 11th when we’ll be handing out food to the homeless.
