myHK: We Made It!!
It’s time to break out the champagne! Our blog is officially 1 year old!
And what a year it has been! Our blog has adapted so much over the year, I’m sure we’ve kept you on your toes! You just never know what to expect from the crazy bunch at The Guest Room!
I must say that I’m quite proud of what we’ve accomplished this year. From getting interviewed on RTHK to promoting for a capella groups.
But, we haven’t just pumped out 300 blogs this year, we have also made some impact. We have raised well over $30,000HKD for those living in caged homes and coffin homes, and organized multiple trips to hand out food and supplies for the homeless here in Hong Kong.
I’m very proud of the what we’ve accomplished with impactHK and I truly value the friendships that I’ve made through this experience.
We will continue to push ahead with impactHK. We’ll keep having our junk boat parties to raise money and our homeless handouts will continue as well. If you haven’t been to one of these events, I hope you’ll come join us for one. I’m sure you won’t regret doing so.
So, as of right now, we have myHK and impactHK, which are written by myself (Mr.J), we have streetSNAP, our amazing photoblog by Sean Creamer and our news event blogs, NewChinaHand and Lion Rock News written by Matt, (it’s tough to tell which one’s the real news blog sometimes…)

Congratulations!! I could not think of a favorite, all seem to showcase the many wonderful, insane and surrealistic facets of HK life.
