myHK: I’m Going to do Something Crazy!
I’m writing this blog quickly now before last night’s alcohol leaves my system, causing me to change my mind…
Last night was a blast! I went to Drum Jam at the Fringe Club and pounded on the drum with a room full of great people and positive energy.
I noticed throughout the jamming that I had a sort of perma-smile going on. It was a very cool experience and I’m already excited about the next one.
That experience led to a few more drinks afterwards and some interesting chats. So interesting in fact that even the topic of horoscopes came up… Total craziness…
To make a long story short, my friend has been reading Eckhart Tolle’s,
“Power of Now” and it’s quite deep. We chatted about a few concepts addressed in that book and I thought it might be fun to set up a book club sort of gathering with others who may be interested in a good chat.
This may just be a one time thing. Who knows?!
Now this book is way too long for us to read it all. There’s just too much content in it.
So the plan is, if you’re interested in such a night, send me an email to theguestroom@icloud.com. We’ll then try and set up a date that is convenient for everyone to meet.
Then I’ll send you a few passages from the book that are interesting and that could bring out some fun conversations.
We’ll meet at the clubhouse of the building I live in on HK Island and it’ll be quite relaxed.
So, the alcohol is definitely wearing off and I’m starting to doubt myself…
