The Guest Room

A Hong Kong blog that does a lot more than blog

Shall we say French country? This is a very ME collage today. I often use exposed brick walls and would gladly hang a collage of odd mirrors and clocks upon them. I love the wrapping black and white cable around the white ceramic lights. How about the side table on the bottom right with only 2 legs! The side of the table bends up, and the table gentle rest supported on the wall. I’ve seen these knobs often used in children’s spaces, but I love them as a tucked away hanging wall to drop off things from that day. I also use a lot of wire glass, but have yet to try it in the kitchen cabinets. It’s a nice combo with the Mythic Slip of Silver colour paint and simple silver hardware. I especially like the addition of this vintage  industrial light hung at such a low level to spot light the prep area of the kitchen.

I’ve recently made some mugs that would fit perfectly in this aesthetic. Hot off the press here they are. Enjoy and have a great week!

Those mugs are fabulous. I love the solid look to them, yet it is graceful at the same time.

thanks! They were meant to be lights, but as I was throwing them, each one wanted to be a mug. I’ll do another round in the Fall and hopefully produce a line of lights.

How amazing! Lights, really? I guess I am able to sort of see it. I am curious to see what the lights will turn out like in the Fall, I will be waiting to see.
