impactHK: THE PARTY RECAP!

WHAT A GREAT NIGHT !!

We drank on a boat, and raised $10,000 for a very important cause.

I want to give a HUGE thanks to everyone that came out last night, and those who donated even though they couldn’t attend.

Special thanks to BestBevHK (www.bestbevhk.com) for giving us a great deal on beers and ciders!  Those 7% ciders hit a few quite hard!

Despite waking up with a bit of a hangover this morning, I just felt so pumped up!  We have created a group that wants to make positive change.  And that’s exactly what we are doing.  The money we raised last night is going to help over 90 people, giving them some relief.

This coming Tuesday, myself, Mr. New China Hand and our streetSNAP photographer are going to head to Sham Shui Po where we will be allowed to enter the caged home apartments to hand out the cash.

In next week’s impactHK blog, I’ll show you some pics from that visit and give you more information on this sad reality here in Hong Kong.  Hopefully we can shed more light on these poor living conditions and can start improving them.

Hong-Kong-Cage-HomesI have some big ideas specifically with these caged homes that I’m working on.  Hopefully I can fill you all in on this soon.

Again, MASSIVE thanks to all of you who support impactHK and this humanitarian movement!

As discussed last night, these parties are just too good, so we’ll try and have one once a month. Keep in touch with the impactHK blog every Saturday for more info.

Cheers everyone and have a great weekend!
