impactHK: Event 2 Ideas
Saturday is finally here! I’ve been very excited to get this blog to you!
Event 1 was a great success. We saw a very strong turnout and the response afterwards has been very encouraging.
Together, we can accomplish some very cool things this year, and I really want each and every one of you to feel involved in this goal.
This is the blog where we need to start presenting ideas for Event 2.
In the comments section of this blog, please give us your best idea for the next humanitarian effort.
If needed, give a brief explanation of the act and what it will take to happen smoothly.
The clearer you can be in your suggestion, the better.
I’m expecting to have around 40 people for our next event, so plan accordingly.
After receiving your suggestions, in next Saturday’s impactHK blog, we will have a poll for us to vote on which event should be for Event 2 in May.
So, let’s get at it! Think hard and think big!
I’ll be interviewed on RTHK 3 Radio live today at 12:30pm about The Guest Room and our impactHK efforts.
If you have time, take a listen. If not, ill post the link soon after.
Cheers,
Mr. J

Nam Cheong PT 2
Before moving on from the Nam Cheong area, and continuing on from handing out 100 meals to the needy: There are many everyday accessories and toiletries we take for granted – toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant.
We need to Imagine how we would feel if we did not have access to these small necessities. Items people in need deem as a luxury or simply cannot afford.
By donating these small basic items to those who don’t have them might provide someone with a greater sense of dignity and self-worth. Simple accessories we may take for granted could be greatly appreciated by those who are less fortunate.
Maybe this will open a door that will give that person a change to get a job or give them a fresh start to a new life.
Pack ideas: toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, tissues and other toiletry items.
[Idea] How many of us have hotel room toiletry packs we keep and save?
Thanks for your suggestion Philip! Let’s do it!
