Lighting is everything!! Even if you don’t have great natural lighting, with the right lights you can transform a space into one you love. I usually think it takes the right lights and the right accent colour! Try 013-6 Royal Raisa! It’s similar to the plum purple on the wall lower left.
I’m been wanting to design, create and or make my own lights for some time now. I’m trying to get myself into the ceramic studio to literally throw some vessels from which I hope to make lights. Until then, I’m admiring some in this collage. From having rows and rows of bulbs, to the simplicity of the drum shape, lights on a wire made into shape, or thirty tea cups stacked high, this is lighting inspiration with a playful result.
Now to add some colour, try wrapping your entire dining room set in fabric like the green on the bottom right! How’s that for dinner?
The SOURCE this week is one of my favourite shops to find light treasures. It’s always interesting and worth a look.

Fabulous color combinations. I love both the green and the rich deep purple; enjoy mixing those two colors in clothing, I refer to it as the aubergine effect. Now, is that royal Raisa color available outside of HK? Would love to use it for an accent table.
Hi Brielle87. Thanks! I love the idea of the Aubergine Effect! The paint brand is called Mythic. It’s a non-toxic, VOC free paint which is another reason I love using it with all my projects. It seems the sister product for Mythic in America is called American Pride made by Southern. Perhaps do a google search for a distributor near you. They would understand the Mythic color chart spec. I hope that helps!

Thank you so much for the lead. I will let you know if I find it, and maybe a photo of the finished accent table. Non toxic is great also. Never realized how much of a fume comes off of drying paint, not until I decided to paint a dresser in the autumn with the windows closed 😦 not too happy for a few nights of sleeping.

Just a quick information share. There is a paint store, not too far from me that sells Mythic paint; only a 14 mile/22 +km drive from my home andd they have the same colour chart. Thank you again.
