The Guest Room

A Hong Kong blog that does a lot more than blog

by JAR: 080-4 Australian Adventure

It’s not easy to find nice Limey greens, but Mythic Australian Adventure is a tried and tested good one!

This collage is all about the details. I’m a collector myself. Living in compact spaces like HK, I’ve learned to collect smaller things. I’d never thought to collect cutting boards, but I love this display of little boards patiently resting against the wall waiting to be used. Check out this lamp that appears to have painted the light right onto the wall! A sofa that comes in puzzle pieces… Or let’s keep organized with a collage of hung clipboards. I myself can swear by the Vitra organizer on the top right! I have this exact one on my desk and I LOVE it! I’m not sure how comfortable this blue chair would be, but it sure has my attention and I feel invited to give it a try. What are your thoughts on concrete? It’s interesting how this concrete kitchen pre planned a storage cubby even for the rubbish bin! Or how about the stacked metal/ concrete side table. Looking for a project, try painting a table top in chalkboard paint and then let the drawing begin!

The SOURCE this week is MANKS. They specialize in designs with attention to detail. MANKS is located at:
The Factory, 1 Yip Fat Street
