pollipops: What’s worse than Walmart’s 5 spice donkey meat?

image

The Shandong Food and Drug Administration recently found DNA of other animals in their popular donkey meat, including fox.

Walmart is now reimbursing customers who purchased their donkey meat (plus), and are helping local authorities investigate their supplier.

My guess is, if you’re a donkey eater, you’d probably eat fox as well. However, I’m sure you’d prefer to know when you’re eating it.

I’m having a tough time understanding the nerve of these food suppliers to just throw mystery meats and other things into their food products. Isn’t donkey meat cheap enough? How money hungry and or twisted are these people?!

The underlying issue here is the power of the 5 spice seasoning. With this concoction on your food, you could be eating duck or a human for all you know.

What’s wrong with just three spices? I like to stick with just a touch of sea salt. If I’m eating unicorn, I want to know it!

What about you? Do you eat any foods manufactured in China? Do you pay attention to where restaurants get their food from?

I recently flew on Air China and declined both meals. And trust me, passing on free food isn’t easy for me. It helped that it looked nasty! But, the main issue for me is that the chicken and fish were probably loaded with fox.

Hope you’re having a great start to the week!

Mr. J

I agree with you, Jeff. If I see that a food product is made in China, I definitely will not buy it!

Yeah, the risk just isn’t worth it. The sad part is that most people buying Chinese food don’t have a choice.
